    * we should have the more vietnamese localization as possible

    * locales (package: ''belocs-locales-data'', not ''locales'') => use ''dpkg-reconfigure belocs-locales-data'' and choose ''vi_VN'' (''UTF-8'')
    * default language to ''vi_VN.UTF-8'' => need to tune it in ''/etc/environment'' after locales settings
    * default login screen in vietnamese => need to specify it in ''/etc/default/gdm'' for Gnome

===== Desktop =====
    * put ''Language=vi_VN.UTF-8'' in your ''$HOME/.dmrc''
    * Gnome (vietnamese already included)
    * probably no KDE (vietnamese not available because not complete => no kde-i18n-vi package)

===== Applications =====
    * [[soft:openoffice.org]] (package: openoffice.org-l10n-vi) FIXME Sarge version is 1.1.3
    * [[soft:openoffice.org]] 1.9m104 (packages: openofficeorg*, except the ''testtool'' one) FIXME create a virtual package for this
    * Mozilla Firefox (package: mozilla-firefox-locales-vi) FIXME package has to be created
    * Instant Messaging (package: gaim)

Note about [[soft:openoffice.org]] in Debian: //stable// (Sarge) has openoffice.org 1.1.3, //unstable// (Sid) has openoffice.org 1.1.4 and //experimental// has openoffice.org2 1.9.114 already but still without vietnamese support ; we could make a backport from //experimental// to //stable// as soon as vietnamese support will be integrated! :-)

===== Printing =====
    * CUPS (packages: cupsys, cupsys-client, gs-esp) FIXME check if gs-gpl is also apropriate or not
    * Xprint (package: xprint), needed for Unicode printing FIXME needs more tests to know what to tune precisely
    * defoma ? fontconfig ? psfonts ? FIXME which one is really needed? need some more testing

===== Specific support =====
    * MS True Type Core Fonts (Unicode fonts, package: msttcorefonts)

You will need to put this line in your ''/etc/apt/sources.list'':

Don't forget to run ''apt-get update'' before trying any installation from this source.

====== Packaging ======
    * make a vietnamese edition of the debian-installer (specific build, you may try this [[rsync:rsync.vn.refer.org_sarge_debian-installer_all-languages_20050502-bubulle.iso|experimental CD]])
    * make only necessary CD's (from 1 to 3 ? could use apt-move right after a complete installation)
    * make the ISO CD images publicy available on Internet (at least through [[other:hanoilug]] website)
