[HanoiLUG] ViUbuntu

Hi,

I jump on the occasion created by JC Andre who expressed the wish to prepare an
Ubuntu Vietnamized version of Feisty Fawn (aka 7.04).

I think it would me appropriate to establish a Vietnamized Ubuntu project (we
may call it 'ViUbuntu', for example) which goal would be to maintain, update
the process of producing an iso image of the original Ubuntu distribution
modified to suit needs of the Vietnamese public, i.e. the inclusion of the
Vietnamese language and some softwares necessary to browse the web filled with
proprietary formats (Flash, MP3 etc.).

Until now this job was done by JC Andre on a purely individual and voluntary
basis. Which means that every update of the iso is compeltely dependent on his
free time.

Thus I would propose to establish a core of HanoiLug volunteers around JC Andre
and to establish a Hanoilug's ViUbuntu project as described above.

Anyone ready to commit time and work for that on a long term basis ? Please
raise (one) hand so we can organize a (face to face) meeting soon.

Of course I'm myself volunteering.

Note that there is not only a technical work that is needed but also many other
aspects of the project that would need working force : I'm talking about
burning CDs, feeding the HanoiLug wiki/blog, providing support through email,
etc.
