However, if you are having problem with Unikey, please try Xvnkb at: http://xvnkb.sourceforge.net/

We currently use it for all Linux workstations and we are happy with it.

This bug is driving me mad. I didn't use unikey much before, but now
students in the Linux 101 class bump into it every time. In some apps we
can work around by changing input method, but in many others we cant and
have to restart the app. Even then that may last only few minutes.

So I took a look at unikey forum. There are more than 3500 members there
and few reports of the bug but no answer. The author seems to be too
busy to maintain the software. So is there anyone on this list who know
the right path to take in order to fix this bug? Never done much coding
in X but with good clue I'm willing to do it myself, even though to be
honest Unikey XIM code is far from pretty, a bad mix of C and C++ :(.
